
Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE)
The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) was jointly established by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Its main objective is to catalyze the flow of institutional credit to Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs).
CGTMSE allows businesses to avail of collateral-free loans up to a maximum of Rs. 500 lakhs. This significantly reduces the dependency on third-party guarantees or collateral securities, thereby empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses to secure credit more easily.

Eligibility
Both new and existing Micro and Small Enterprises engaged in manufacturing or service activities (excluding educational institutions, training institutes, and self-help groups) are eligible under the CGTMSE scheme.
